This architectural house design is situated in the luxuriously upmarket residential estate of Steyn City in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.

The site slopes up towards the park behind. On approach, the guests will climb the glazed covered entrance walkway and enter the house into the double volume living area. This covered with a floating concrete roof that allows perimeter natural lighting penetration throughout the day. The house is a double storey structure with the first floor wrapping around the double volume open plan living areas on the ground floor. These in turn open up onto the covered entertainment and swimming pool area. The covered entertainment area features an extensive skylight roof with an automated horizontal louvered section below that opens up in winter and closes up in summer to manipulate sunlight effectively.

Aesthetically, it is a new age modernist design that will feature most of today’s automation and energy efficiency amenities.
