This project is a renovation to an 85 year old house. The architectural design had to respect the original house plan layout and materials such as pre-stressed steel ceilings.

The house plan layout was divided into 2; to the east the bedrooms, and to the west the open plan living areas, both connected to the north by a new saligna laminated timber stoep that resembles the olden days living but with a modern twist.

The front stoep further open towards the open timber deck and pool, thus forming an entire indoor/outdoor living area typical of the South African climate.
